Coach Heather Frith has been a cheer coach for LHS CHEER for the past 8 years and has been at the high school level for the past five. She also taught Kindergarten in Leander I.S.D for 5 years, before moving up to the high school in 2005.

Coach Frith is from Longview, Texas, where she attended Pine Tree High School. She moved to Austin after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2000. She has only worked for Leander I.S.D in her ten years of teaching. She resides in Leander after moving from the Austin area in 2002.

Coach Frith takes pride in knowing that the men and women she works with each year go on to do wonderful things in the real world and use what they have learned at LHS to get there. Many LHS cheerleaders have gone on to college in pursuit of their own excellence! Watching the program grow every year is very fulfilling to Coach Frith.

Heather is married to a great, hard-working man Michael. They have a beautiful and energetic daughter Emma (5) and a bubbly little boy Carter (almost 2).

Coach Shanna Bandy joined the LHS CHEER staff in 2009. She has taught Kindergarten at Knowles Elementary the last three years and has been with Leander I.S.D. for the past six years.

Coach Bandy is from San Antonio, Texas, where she attended Canyon High School. During high school Coach Bandy was an All-American cheerleader and participated in National Cheerleading competitions in Florida. She attended college at Texas State University. During her time at Texas State she was a cheerleader and graduated in 2006 with a Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction.
